Review Board Members

This section of the FCRO website is for our current Review Board Members, and Review Board Members in Training.

The FCRO relies on your commitment to the process and your preparedness for every case you have the responsibility to review. Every child or youth whose case is reviewed by your Review Board deserves the best possible review by each review board member. As a review board member, the knowledge and experience you bring to the table adds to the quality of the case review and impacts the life of that child or youth. Your commitment to being present at every meeting to discuss your findings and recommendation on each child/youth’s case is key to a successful review.

Our goal is to provide you with the resources and tools you need to expand your knowledge of the child welfare and juvenile justice systems. We hope that the materials we provide and the training you receive, will help you become the best Review Board Member you can be.

The FCRO Review Board Member Handbook is a must read for every board member. The Handbook contains our policies and procedures related to your role as a review board member. All review board members must read the Handbook, and then print, sign and return the Acknowledgement Form to the FCRO office. This document is kept in each board member’s file. Please select the FCRO Review Board Member Handbook below to review.

The Resources - Abuse/Neglect Casessection provides you with links to Forms, Tips and Tools, Videos and other useful resources.

The FCRO Review Board Member Guidebook – Abuse/Neglect Cases is a must read for every board member reviewing cases of children and youth in the custody of DHHS. The Guidebook contains a variety of information that you will need to know in order to review the cases of children and youth in an out-of-home placement, or on a trial home visit. The Guidebook, resources and video trainings are provided to assist you in your learning process.

The FCRO Review Board Member Guidebook and Resources – Probation Status/Delinquency Cases is a must read for every board member reviewing cases of youth involved with Probation due to a status/delinquency case. The Guidebook contains a variety of information that you will need to know in order to review these cases. Supplemental resources and video trainings are provided.
